A nice weekend getaway!

After we had that nice blast of snow it was nice to have a warm weekend away. My school was canceled on Thursday due to the storm so I have had a nice break from work. My bike also showed up on Thursday so that was a nice Valentine present for me! We got up at 5am on Friday morning to come to my Dad's in Mesquite. In Beaver we stopped and ate breakfast and then we went to the Cheese Factory --my favorite place in Beaver. We ended up stopping in St. George so Jared could find himself a bike helmet. Friday night we went to the had a really good dinner at the Eureka buffet. Any kind of food you could want.
On Saturday we went to see the movie "Jumper"--a very good show. On Saturday night we had a BBQ at my Dad's with family that had also come down for the long weekend. It was good to see one of my cousins that I haven't seen for 4+ years. Karri had not even met Jared--how sad is that? It really isn't that far from Salt Lake! We had good food and it was fun to talk.
Today we are going to Vegas! I am not sure what we will do there..I know we are going to In and Out for lunch (the Young's revolve around this burger joint). It should be a fun day!
We go home to the snow tomorrow--it has been a nice little weekend away! Thanks to my Dad and Deb for a great place to stay!

What is that?

Yes I blog hop, I am sure most you do that too..well in doing that I found a cute tag about "What is in Your purse"- I thought it was pretty good, knowing how much junk we tend to carry around! So here it is. My cute purse...thanks Jared for the early Valentines present!

I have 3 or 4 lip glosses/chapstick, a calendar book-to organize my time, my wallet, cell phone. I also have a tide pen (which is used often), multiple pens in case one doesn't work. A little thing called a Wallet Pix that Jared's Aunt Donna gave us. It is pretty neat, you download pictures onto it and then you always have them with you to show people. I have gum, Ibuprofen, a box of Neco candy hearts that I snuck into the movie last night, and 2 kinds of lotion.

I would love to hear what you carry around - Marilyn, Kristin, Lindsay, Ashley and Becca.

Our Saturday Adventure

So Jared decided that we needed to get some Mountain Bikes so we can exercise better...because we are not very good at that! So for the last little while he has been looking and researching bikes to find the one he wanted. He had one as a teenager that he loved and used to ride all of the time with his friend Tim, but then he hurt his knee and sold his bike. During his lunch break at work this week he went to the bike shop and looked at the bikes and found the one he wanted. It is a Gary Fisher "Piranha"--bright green! It is a pretty cool color. So after he found his bike we needed to find my bike. I found one that I like, but because I am so stinkin tall they didn't have my size--so they tried to order it but it won't even be in the store until March. It is Gary Fisher "Marlin".
SO instead of getting my bike today I only got my bike helmet..because anyone knows me knows I am accident prone so I insisted on a helmet. Once the weather warms up we can go and ride the trails around our house! We need to get a bike rack on our Grand Cherokee so we can take our bikes to Southern Utah and hit the trails with my Uncle Rich (if he doesn't take me on too hard of ones that is), it should be fun!
