Thanksgiving & Black Friday!

This year for Thanksgiving we went to my Mom and Step-Dad's house. It was nice to be with family we haven't seen for awhile. My Grandparents were there as well as my Mom's sister and Brother. We also had my Step siblings and their kids and my sister and her family. We had some good food! I love Thanksgiving food..green bean casserole is one of my favorites (and mashed potatoes and gravy)!
After we went to Jared's parents for dessert. His sister and her family arrived yesterday afternoon just in time to eat! They are moving to Utah so they will be staying at my In-laws for awhile. It will be fun to hang out with them.
Then once again we decided that we would go out with all the crazy people and shop on Black Friday. I really didn't see much in the ads this year but Jared's Mom had a few things she wanted to get...so I met her at Walmart at 5:00. We went to a few stores and then out to breakfast at I-hop. No almost fights this year so that was good! Tonight we are going to a hockey game with Jared's sister and her family..should be fun!

Twilight

We went and saw "Twilight" today. I have to say I really enjoyed it. I thought that they cast everyone perfectly. I was a little bit worried about the Edward part but he really grew on me as the movie went along and I ended up liking him in the end. I can't wait for the next one.
We also went over to Kim & Rochelle's- who are really good friends of my In-laws- to watch the BYU vs. Utah game! Jared and I were about the only Ute fans there..it was a good game, which I can say because Utah won! It would have been fine if BYU won too but now Utah has a 12-0 record!

Yummy Cheescake

Last night was my monthly Girls Night Out. We were going to go to a movie..but nothing even sounded like it was worth seeing, so we skipped the movie and went right for dessert. We went to the Cheesecake Factory. That place is so yummy and it is even better when you are there with a bunch of girls. We had a great night, lots of talking and laughing. I didn't get home until 11:00! I look forward to Girls Night every month. I love it!

A trip to the dentist

About a year and 1/2 ago I had some root canals done on my two front teeth..there is a long story behind all of this (I knocked out my two front teeth in 9th grade- they were put back in and I have since had crowns on them), there was an infection in my gums which was why I had the root canals. These past few weeks I have had a pain in my gum that just wouldn't let up. I went into the dentist today and he told me there was another infection that had moved higher up into my gums and into the root of my tooth. He went into my gums and dug out the infection in the root and around it, leaving me with stiches in my gum. I got some lortab so I will be in lala land tonight! I am praying that this infection will clear up and there is not a break in the root..so he doesn't have to pull my teeth and get inplants instead...I told Jared we could just have me be with no teeth and we could move to Oklahoma were we would fit in! Say a prayer for me that we don't have to do that!

As it turns out there is some type of virus going through our school. The only way they know to kill it is to disinfect the whole school and let it sit for a few days. Which means we have Thursday and Friday off...the only bad news is I have to go to the dentist tomorrow to have one of my teeth (that has had a root canal) looked at, I am not looking forward to that one bit! Hopefully it won't be horrible news..cross your fingers for me!

This was the day from _____ at work! Let me tell you how it went...about 9:00a.m. the teacher I work with went to the bathroom and threw up, she went home about 9:30. Then one of the boys in my class told me that the didn't feel good..we called his Mom about 5 mintues later he threw up on the classroom floor. We were in the middle of music but they had to come and clean the room so we went outside for about 30 minutes, then we ate lunch in the other 2nd grade class and went back outside to recess. During the reminder of the day 6 more kids came and told me that they didn't feel good so they all went home. The other second grade teacher and her TA also went home sick!!! Needless to say I will be washing my hands every five minutes! It was just one crazy day at work today!

Antibiotics #2

Jared didn't go to church today instead he went to the Insta-care to get some antibiotics to help with his cold. As it turns out he has a sinus infection. He just got over some bronchitis and got this stuff. I am hoping the medicine he got will do the trick...we sure have blown through the tissues!
